A lot of these kids we previously offered or had interest in just aren't good enough. It's more of an indictment on the previous staff/s that they thought these kids were good enough to play ACC ball.

A good coaching staff should be a lot better at talent evaluation than the guys running rankings sites, fans or blogs. We had a lot of positive reactions across the board to the team that was built last year… bad coaching and poor evaluation of fit and talent together and disaster struck. Quite a few people here were sky high on this kid and Abaev too.

This year it’s a lot of fans , local talking heads and blogs giving this a meh ( so far) yet we’ve got some props from the nba blog guys around the euros as well as Wilson and Tobiason. I guess we will see who knows their shite and who doesn’t. Daly and Brunt aren’t scrubs and know talent and then game well in their short and long coaching careers respectively. We got a guy who clearly AO had his eyes on and wanted to mold. Staff seems to have their crap together with what they want.

Ryder Frost was a four star. He “fooled” the ratings services. He fooled the ND staff. He almost fooled the Michigan, Wisconsin, and SU staffs. He certainly fooled a lot of the experts on this board. There are almost no guarantees out there.

And SU next season, I am only confident in one thing: neither the everything is great nor the everything is horrible crews will be right about everything.
