One more to keep an Orange eye on... Dahmir Bishop, a 4 star 6'5 guard out of Philly. Strong, athletic wing. Scores at will with a good handle. He plays HS for Imhotep Institute and for K-Low on the Adidas Circuit.

Here are some highlights from his play here in Atlanta a few weeks back...

A Cuse/Bishop mention late in this one...

"It was a late Saturday night affair and right from the get-go, Dahmir Bishop made it a point that he was going to leave a giant fingerprint on his K-Low Elite team’s contest, regardless of whether he was going to make his shots or not. How so? Bishop ramped up the intensity of the outing straight from the tip, showing that he didn’t care who was opposing him and that his squad was going to win. This wasn’t just a random occurrence but rather the norm for the Philly native. Bishop has built his game on a blue-collared mentality and the willingness to complete whatever task needs to be done in order for his team to succeed. Bishop’s bunch made it to championship Sunday riding the Rivals150 guard. Syracuse, Providence, Rhode Island, Texas, Penn State and VCU are among those involved the most."

Sounds good to me. Right now, I'd rank shooting guard 5th out of Syracuse's positions of need, but at this point, having too many players at a position is a problem that I'd love to have.

Landing a multiple year philly guard would be very very very encouraging for our program imo.

Has an unofficial scheduled for Rhode Island and is planning one an unofficial for Providence.

Bishop and K-Low Elite had a big weekend at the Memorial Day Hoop Fest. They beat Scottie Lewis, Brian Antoine, Aidan Igiehon, and Team Rio earlier.

SU had been showing interest in Bishop back in May. We did not make the Philly guard's final 8 cut...

That's a shame. Florida is the only school on that list that would be tough to beat.

By definition, they were all impossible for SU to beat with regard to this player.
