I get what you’re saying regarding culture. But a McCord comparison is a stretch. Sounds like he’ll do great though.I know this isn’t at all the exact same situation, but this is giving me Fran/Mccord vibes. Year 1, grab the culture setter for under market rates due to relationship. Huge!
Yes, he will still be helping with NIL. I do not know exacts; just know he will still be involved with Gavin. Hopefully/maybe that means for others too.He and AW developed a close relationship since AW paid his NIL last year.
There was a grateful tweet from Doty to AW about that, thanking him for his ability to play and go to the NCAAT.
AW also went to the Duke/ Siena game to support them.
He was supposed to be paying a hefty NIL to keep him at Siena this upcoming year.
I wonder if he will still pay his NIL since he is now at Syracuse.
When I said he was a high major prospect, I meant it, regardless of what our resident condescending know-it-all thinks.i have no way of validating it nor know how legit it is, but i was told he had 40+ schools reach out to him. which may have been more if it wasn't so obvious he was going to follow gmac.
Don't fight it.Convinced AW is a cult leader at this point.
I believe he had dinner with GMac after the Duke/Siena game, too.He and AW developed a close relationship since AW paid his NIL last year.

SU would suspend him, unless he was leading the Adhan. That would be awesome.
Seems to me that in his last game, he made the jump pretty easily. I might be wrong.Going to be a big jump. But the kid had efficient stats at volume at Siena. Clear reason why he had so many accolades. Even if they dip a bit and he's a rotation guy, it seems like his efficiency would travel, just at a lower volume.
He was rumored to be putting up 200K for Moesch at Siena.I believe he had dinner with GMac after the Duke/Siena game, too.
Not a rumor. He was rumored to be putting up 200K for Moesch at Siena.
I thought the key part of his statement was "recruit five guys from high school or the portal better than any of them."Yikes. I get that you like Gerry and are close to AW and know about these players, but in my 50 years as a Cuse fan, if those words regarding three or four Siena players were ever previously uttered it would be considered insanity. And to be clear, you are a great poster here and this is not meant disrespectfully.
Totally agree, not the same like I mentioned, but I think you feel me on the parallels! It’s just an all out win for cuse bball on every front. Local kid getting the fan base involved even more, Gerry’s culture can bleed over, a proven motor on the court, and a damn good player that will only get better. He is trending up and up each year at Siena and I expect him to do the same going into next year. To be honest I think some people are taking him for granted big time, kinda playing it off as just a local who played for Gerry so obviously he would come here and we will see if he can play at this level…. I think he will surprise a lot of people. So pumped for him to be in orange!I get what you’re saying regarding culture. But a McCord comparison is a stretch. Sounds like he’ll do great though.
