Well, it takes time to formally shotgun offers to all the players Hurley offers. Sometimes, he does not know of a possible recruit until he reads about him on opposing teams fan forums. He has to save recruiting funds to finalize his actual commits.

Yeah, I saw that as well. A story over the summer quoted Griffiths as saying SU was among the five schools recruiting him the hardest at that time. Think we backed off? Dude had a killer summer and soared up the rankings.
