People don’t understand how good of shape they are in for both. Rippey is the key. They get him first and then I think they get JS. JS will be a “shocking” commitment to many but not to a few of us in the know

The coaching staff has been everywhere the past two years recruiting these two guys. Their effort has been better than anyone else. This staff seems to be using the same method as Fran. Relationships, relationships and more relationships!

Is JS “dependent” on what Rippey does, or is that the anticipated timing? Thanks.

No matter what happens as I have been disappointed before (Quade comes to mind as one), I do appreciate your positive attitude as of this moment in time. It is very refreshing.
 
I'll chime in here. As others have said, Syracuse basketball coaches have put in the work for both Deron and Jordan, prioritizing both of them since offering in August and May of 2023, respectively. If the Orange doesn't win out for either or both of them, it won't be for a lack of trying. I'm told Jordan will visit Syracuse again, although a date hasn't been set. He's not planning to sign early, and my source says Syracuse is trying to get him on campus for a basketball game. I'm not saying Syracuse will prevail for both guys, but the Orange has a decent shot with each.

Yup. We definitely have the talent on the team to make some noise. It really comes down to coaching. If Red can prove he can get this team to an 8 seed or better in the tourney than we should be good and land a couple studs in the high school ranks. Our team is set up nice for the next couple of years too

Yeah exactly this isn’t a 1 and done team. This could be a deadly team next year too (assuming red wins games) but I expect this team to be much more cohesive because there are simply just better players on the court

Red should be sitting with Fran 44 times a week to pick his brain on how to close the deal. Not saying Red can’t, just saying Fran can.

Does that imply they will not be signing in November signing period and will wait it out to the spring?

Red is a really good recruiter. Fran is elite, but Red's biggest successes as a head coach have been in high school recruiting.

If you count the Starling/Westry transfers that occured within a few weeks of Red's hiring as its own class, Red has had three consecutive recruiting classes better than any single class JB recruited going back to Cooney and MCW!

Red is a very good recruiter, and has shored up his weaknesses really well with staff/coaching personnel this offseason. He also seems to have figured out NIL funding this offseason, after dismal failure in that area last year.

We are primed for a long period of success if we can win on the floor at a high level this year.

The crystal ball is legit, though. Looks like he is taking his OV to Duke on November 11. Might need to get him on campus before that date.
