Listening to Kiyan it seems a major factor in his decision was how close Syracuse is to NYC so it's pretty easy for his parents to go see him play. Plus playing the legendary basketball schools in the ACC. (Everyone knows the Big?? is second rate).

And maybe...maybe...he wanted to make his dad happier.

Kiyan is a really good player, but he's his own man and it's not fair to compare him to Melo or expect him to be the greatest freshman in college hoops history like his dad was.
