Highlights are notorious for missing the flaws but a couple things beyond the scoring that appear on the tape.

1- Looks to have a pretty high motor seeing how he works off the ball and seems a willing defender even if he needs work there which given he’s just turning 18- means he absolutely is still at an age that can be improved and further developed.

2- Not sure his exact height as meantioned in the above “ranges” but on film looks to have good size for a guard which is always a positive.

3- I know others did too but having watched a lot of those FIBA games because Luke was playing there wasn’t a shortage of guys who impressed and thus it’s impressive he got a call out. For instance Siulepa that went to Pitt stood out too and isn’t mentioned here.

I get that but my point is he plays internationally and played well in the same tournament as this kid so might be some familiarity. Not to mention if Luke can ball and Gerry and staff find value and can get the best out of him that’s another good shooter and fundamentally sound kid.

I mean that I hope he plays. Yes he was beaten out by all of those guys for minutes, but at the start he was very highly regarded and ended up barely playing. However, it seems like this guy is way better and will actually play.

Right. Puts an elite shooter and scorer on the court to pair with a PG who might not be an elite shooter. Thus someone like a Mingo ( either one) or Alex Wilkins etc. Add a bigtime euro 5 man or PF to go with and then attack the portal.
