If he doesn't get a waiver my post is the same. Go find another 2 that can shoot. Need lights out shooters at the 2/3.
I don’t see how he would be denied one. The precedent for this has already been set in the Diego Pavia case which was basically the same scenario. It seems Kingz would have a great avenue for legal action and have it overturned if his waiver is denied due this previous ruling.

I prefer M3 over 3M.

Kingz is not a good all handler or passer. I don’t see him as two guard. McAllister just said he doesn’t think Kingz got his waiver.
If Kingz could have played the 2, he would have last season. Could not handle the ball well enough to play there.

And yes, word is that Kingz had his waiver request denied.

Time to move on from the 25-26 disaster.

Incredible pick up out the jump by GMac and co.

Between the ACs he's secured and now this, he's doing wonderfully.

We need to stop worrying about "2" vs "3". If we have Kingz and MMM on offense w're going to see driving lanes we haven't seen in years. On D, Kingz will bear more on ball burden, get MMM on someone he can functionally stay with, plus I would wager our defensive system will be much more democratized in spreading out responsibility. And the fact that MMM has strength (even if limited lateral quickness) means he can be diversified in where we stick him on D.

Love that he can use or reject a screen going EITHER direction. That means when he is in action, the whole floor is open to us.

MMM, Kingz, Kiyan and Doty can all play. I know it seems like it may be a logjam, but if we are getting this type of talent, we'll be able to put together different combos of who we have on the floor and in the rotation.

But I think we should think more wing/off ball than "2" vs "3".
I think the 2 vs 3 distinction matters still on the defensive end/rebounding.

His statistics of the current season in Adriatic League ( his team play two different leagues: slovenian league and adriatic league also known as ABA league, surely better and more competitive than slovenian league): min 29.8; fgm- a 70,5%; 3pm-a 28,8%; ftm-a 71,4%; reb 2,1; ast 1,2; st 0,8; to 1,3; pts 12.3
So, curb your enthusiasm…i think we would happy with 20 minutes and 10 points on average for next season

Does it? Sincerely asking.

If we have a guy that is 6'5" and is a defensive monster and has a strong core, long arms, quick laterally, he can guard 6'9" guys. If we have a slow 6'9" guy, he isn't going to be put on the other team's dynamic player if they both play what we'd call the 3. We'll hide him where we can.

Rebounding will depend on how we're playing defense as much as a natural rebounder.

Scottie Barnes guarded Jokic really well as a matter of strategy by Toronto. Luka gets put on the weakest guys regardless of position all the time. Using NBAers as examples, but I'm just not that worried now that we should have competent coaching, both overall strategy-wise and in-game adjustments.

I would guess we'll actually see pre-switching on D prior to the action and what not if needed if we have soft spots on the defensive end. I think there is a whole world out there that we were just, frankly, incapable of because of our coaching staff and our guys basically punting on the second half of the season.

Just my 0.02. And, to be clear, give me the best guys on the wing / off ball we can get. GMac will figure out what to do with too much talent.

I’ll be the outlier and say I think Kiyan could start. It’s not ideal but I believe he’ll improve a lot during the offseason. He showed good flashes at the beginning of the year and I think Melo is correct that GMac could get the best out of him. Time will tell.

he plays "up" in that league. most of the guys that get the mins are in their early 20's. 21, 22, 23. 3M turned 19 a month ago.

If he could be as good as Arizona’s Karchenkov we would be very very happy. But in fairness karchenkov played at a higher level here in europe
