I can’t see it, what is it?
A couple highlights nothing special. No idea if this kid can even play to be fair or if it means anything

What was the comment about bringing 2 over? From Europe? Who said that?A couple highlights nothing special. No idea if this kid can even play to be fair or if it means anything
2.5 steals is an eye opener at any level though. Not quite the pedigree as MMM or even Fennell but can’t hurt I guess

I think this guy is 3 and not a 2
He drives an awful lot in his film. He's like Manu Ginobli (i.e. a big guard, but not fast) who has good moves in the lane to get to the rim. But no Euro-Step, like Manu invented.
He didnt tag him in the story. Its some random account tagging them both as they were both in the play.So no idea if it’s just a friend .. assuming it is but Moreno just tagged this fellow Slovenian PG in his IG story. Remembering the comment about bringing two over and this being a PG thought I’d share from a little sleuthing

Didn't intend for my remark to come off as snarky. Just an observation!Fair enough. I caveated my post given it didn’t mean much most likely.

There is a general feel we add another Euro, so who is to say we aren't on this kid, ya know?
Secret commitI can’t see it, what is it?
Best guess on name pronunciation is
Muh-MOO-toe-vick
Ma Moo TovichI would suggest much-MOO-toe-vich.
This is an interesting take. Had no idea he was 205 pounds. That could be a huge mismatch advantage on the offensive end. Could be really fun.I was looking around the Internet for more video and information on Mahmutovič.
I found Givony referring to him as a little less athletic, but also saw that he was recorded with a 35.25" vertical.
Source of the 35+ inch measurement: The 35.25-inch vertical comes from physical testing conducted at the 2024 Basketball Without Borders (BWB) Europe camp, an event organized by the NBA and FIBA. This is a "max vertical" (likely with a run-up) and is considered an official testing number.
Givony is comparing him to other NBA wings... a 35 inch vertical is actually somewhat mundane in that grouping. The highest vertical leaps in NBA history are in the 4 foot range. Several current players are in the 43 to 44 inch vertical.
Still Mahmutovič, with that athleticism, seems big enough to play a stretch 4 for us, at 6'7, 205 lbs. Forcing opposing teams to guard his 49% three-point shooting with power forwards seems like a fun time for Orange fans.

It's from his most recent season in the second level pro league. One warning, the internet has all the information in the world, but almost half is wrong, and half of that is deliberate. Caveot emptor.I believe those stats are from one tournament, not a season.
There are plenty of big slow guys playing PF, who would have trouble dealing with a pressure ball denial defense on one end, even guarded by a smaller guy. Those same guys will definitely have trouble defending MMM on the defensive end.Maybe on offense, but he couldn't guard any NCAA power forward, man to man.
Sorry. The only way that's possible is if we play zone. He's nowhere near big enough.

A Sibi, MMM, Tobiason, Doty and Dual lineup could definitely play well with White on the bench. I am running with the reports that Sibi will have defense that holds up right now in the ACC.
An eraser at center helps make up for a lot of other guys playing bad defense.
He's not "big". He's not even as big as Kristof Ongenaet, who was about 6-8, 215.
He looks 3 inches shorter than Marek Dolezaj.
He's about 30 pounds lighter and 2 inches shorter than Petar Majstorovic.
He's more of a guard than a forward.
He's not a stretch 4 anywhere but the lowest levels of Division 1.
