What I gather is that Marrone was much bigger on the measurables (size, wt, etc) and the numbers (40 time/cone drills/vertical/etc) and that criteria was very important to him when extending out offers. From Shafer's press conferences it sounds like he's real big on guys who are "players" or "gym rats" (as Mcdonald mentioned) and even though I'm sure he'll also put an emphasis on measureables/numbers it isn't currently as big of focus as far as extending offers (at least at this time to a local recruit). You may remember Scissum attended our camp in Buffalo in hopes of receiving an offer and it was reported that part of reason an offer was not extended after that camp was because his 40 time was slower than we were looking for.
