Classic character actor. According to his bio on imdb.com he was in a relationship with Rebecca De Mornay from 1981-83. That alone deserves kudos. RIP HDS!!!

Was in Bellevue, WA 2 years ago for work. After a long day, a buddy and I went to grab a bite and some drinks. See this older guy about 3 seats down at the bar drinking scotch neat and leaving quite often to smoke. Was impressed with his drinking/smoking at that age so I bought him a drink. When he turned to thank me, I realized it was Harry Dean Stanton. We then talked for the next 2 hours. Amazing person and even better stories. RIP
