Shame Dabo!

I’ve never liked Dabo, and have long since thought he was a younger Joe Pa.

Not following it,but one guy saying it doesn't make it true, or untrue, for that matter.

He used the word in response to someone else using it, in an effort to prevent it from being used again. Confusing, but it makes sense to me. I personally don’t like hearing anyone use the word, white, black or anyone in between. There are too many exceptions in regards to this subject.

Dabo states that he said it while emphasizing people shouldn't use it. If so this should not be made to be a big deal. While I agree he shouldn't utter that word even in this way there is obviously no bad intentions with its use and there is certainly no reason to vilify him for it. It sounds like it was just an honest mistake. In my opinion, that is a situation you just move on from.

let's not do this thing...we're smarter to recognize right and wrong. The jump to conclusion you want us to make is Dabo should be fired for allowing an assistant to use a slur.

I want 12 pages And 300 comments. 50 of which are reiterations of the fact that the coach was explaining not to use the word. This is not even a tempest in a teapot, but together, we can make it one.

We're working on the tempest.

Now, all's we need is a teapot... :p

Not sure why the tweet is not loading, but it says

"Bro, not telling you how you should have addressed it but I was there and it’s false, I don’t recall him saying the N WORD at all. I was the 1 playing the music and it had all kinds of profanity going on because we all play the unfiltered versions. Hell its us in locker room"

Sounds like a miscommunication to me. Similar to many other situations going on in society today. If you don’t know all of the facts of the story, keep your comments to yourself. If someone says or does something immorally wrong, by all means, call them out on it. It’s common sense...

I'm confused - I'm supposed to think Dino is now a bad guy because he didn't want that word being thrown around the locker room? Or is he now a bad guy because he said the word in reference to it being thrown around his locker room?
I wasn't in the locker room but I'm going to give him the benefit he seems like a good man. He shouldn't have said the word but if he was saying it to emphasize how bad it was it's not quite the same. I don't think Dabo is a racist.

I like Dabo, always have. And frankly, I’m starting to get sick and tired of these self-appointed arbiters of truth trying to tell us what we should or shouldn’t say about anything. It’s almost like folks are being forced to say “something” & unless it’s 100% acceptable under some as yet unnamed criteria, then they’re thrown under the bus. “Repent, repent I say”!
I don’t need anyone telling me what to say, how to think, or how to feel. I hate rascism, and dirty cops who kill & brutalize unarmed Black men, and continue to get away scot free.
Now if someone finds that statement is not “woke” enough, or blames the cops too much, or whatever, then come at me & have at it. It’s my humble opinion, and i have a right to express it.
As for Dabo- this video of him honoring a coach of his is all I needed to see to tell me what his character is towards race, irrespective of one particular incident or another:
