Shane Larkin declares for NBA draft.

When Marcus Smart said he was coming back and Larkin could be the 3rd PG behind MCW/Burke and probably be a late lottery-mid first pick he had to go. Considering all the talent Miami is losing from this year's roster.

Wow they lose a lot from this years team. Besides loseing Larkin, The Hurricanes also lose seniors Durand Scott, Trey McKinney-Jones, Reggie Johnson, Kenny Kadji and Julian Gamble.

Seems a little weird to me. He's a solid player but I didn't think he was a lock first round talent the couple times I watched him, and it's certainly not like he's declaring because he needs the paycheck. Interesting.

Miami is going to stink next year.

So back to normal. Last year was a complete fluke aided by UNC being terrible and Duke being without Kelly for a stretch.

Is there really tight market for 5-10/11 PGs without elite passing skills in the NBA? He has speed, but I don't think he has that tight of a handle.

yeah, his apparent status might be the ultimate "just goes to show how weak the draft is this year" testimonial.
Looks like a nice college guard to me, but not much more than that.

Surprising to me. It's not like he needs to financially support his family.

You must not have seen Larkin play. Best ball handler bar none! Great passer !! What the Hell is a lack of "that tight of a handle"?? !!

Classic case of a guy entering the draft while his hype is still high before teams have a chance to see his weaknesses. He'll probably be a late 1st round pick, but he's not worth it at all.

Larkin is one of those media driven hype machine guys where people who want to look smart talk about how great and underrated he is to the point where he becomes quickly overrated.

He isn't as short, but I am thinking of him like a Nate Robinson high energy guy. You got to go when you got to go. Good luck (he will stick for a bit).
