I've read many bad things about the place, but I've had a good personal relationship with Dave for over 20 years. Mannys is good too, but you can pretty easily find SU gear cheaper elsewhere.

I've never had an issue with Shirt World and overcharges or anything like that. There's some stuff I would buy there, and some stuff I would buy at Manny's, really depends on what you are looking for. I used to get greek stuff at Shirt World and it always came out great.

Next time you go, check and see if there are prices on any of the merchandise. And then when he rings up your order, check and see if any of the stuff is itemized on the receipt.

NO. The guy rips people off on a daily basis. Charges more than the price tag states and most people dont notice. He tried charging me $35 for a $12 tshirt once..i almost tore the place to shreds when he argued with me. 3 people behind me in line left because they realized he was a slimeball.

Many years ago my wife worked for Dave. He would periodically send her down to Manny's to check on what they were selling. Having worked for him, she knows what happens there. She won't ever step inside there and if she sees Dave she avoids him. All you have to do is ask former employees about Dave and his practices. As for Manny's and donations to SU, I know the Slutzker's gave much money to the university and there is a building at the corner of Walnut Place and Waverly with Lillian's name on it. I don't know about the current owners, so I can't comment on that.

1) Herb Phillipsons (who now has a store on Erie Blvd not that far from campus but no online ordering sadly).
2)Manny's
3) SU Bookstore online when they have a decent sale
4)Wegmans/Tops/Nice N Easy
5) Shirt World
