Friend of mine (who fears no bargain) had the same thing last year the Friday before the Duke football game. Called him out on one of his "deals". It was awkward. I waited outside.

My Orange gear shopping places in this order:
1) Herb Phillipsons (who now has a store on Erie Blvd not that far from campus but no online ordering sadly).
2)Manny's
3) SU Bookstore online when they have a decent sale
4)Wegmans/Tops/Nice N Easy
5) Shirt World

Yup. The SU section in the new Herb Philipsons on Erie blvd is unbelievable. Very cheap, good quality

Anyone know if the store in Liverpool is similar? I've never been in Herbs.

He owns a couple places up there. He's a total scumbag to his tenants. I had someone get into a lawsuit with him because of a bunch of very underhanded dealings. There are a couple landlords up on Marshall St. whose M.O. seems to be to lure tenants into their buildings, get the tenant to fix up the place, and then force them out by refusing to approve their menu items, use of a sidewalk cafe, etc., and then have somebody else pay $50K or more to buy out the existing tenant's lease. It's insane what goes on up there.

Next time you go, check and see if there are prices on any of the merchandise. And then when he rings up your order, check and see if any of the stuff is itemized on the receipt.

Yeah Matt, believe me, I'm not doubting the stories. Just sharing my experiences for what they're worth.
