Guerrero is bad. And to be honest Bichette is not much better. Bo was good in 2023, but he was so-so for most of 2022, and is struggling and 2024. The offence is very putrid - internally it is stagnant development, and externally we didn't do enough to fix things.
The fanbase is not happy -- especially those you see on social media, and just the general atmosphere you get across the city. I have never seen as much hate for a team while winning 90 games like it did last year (or was it 89?). Either way not getting better this year.
But frustration doesn't always come through at the games ..- Jays still are getting very good crowds despite everybody seeming to have a gripe with management and players at this point.

I can't believe some people in Toronto are falling for it again this winter... now with Juan Soto. Yes we have juge financial resources and can put into a big bid... just enough to be used to bid other teams up.
Toronto has a lot of money to spend -- rich owners, the best local TV numbers by far in MLB, good attendance. But the GM sucks, the team sucks right now. The biggest free agent in thisclass that is getting big offers from many teams isn't going to choose Toronto.
Don't fall for it again, morons. And dear god please don't let Jon Morosi have a single word on this topic.

i don't know a single jays fan who thinks Soto is signing with them. I don't know a single jays fan who has any confidence in what atkins and shappy are doing. as long as the corporate bean counters are happy with the ROI, those two are untouchable.

I don't know any fans personally... but I have seen a few on message boards I peruse (certainly a minority though) and on social media who think its possible.
I don't know any that are happy with Atkins and Shapiro. Personally I think if we make the right moves we could be an 85-90 win teams if all works. But that is the upside if everything works out. With our financial resources that should be the downside of what a roster can accomplish in any given year.
The ROI is OK for now, but if the Jays keep losing for a few more years, attendance will go down and TV viewership will go down. Every franchise is immune to that in Toronto, except potentially the Leafs.

Yes - its happening! Toronto take out the Flight Tracker Apps so you can be disappointed again.
Maybe this year instead of the Flight Trackers, Hotel Sightings, or tracking Dinner Reservations, someone could create a hoax that Juan Soto was seen playing pond hockey with kids.
