Shooting well matters

Had to consistently shoot well when your O system does nothing to work for quality shots. It has always been that way under JB which is why we look so awful ca teams that play any D. It is more noticeable this year because we don’t have talent.

This is absolutely true. But we’re also missing largely uncontested shots.

What team wins consistently in basketball when they can’t score.
Our program has become medicore in the regular season because the offense has been inconsistent.
Watch the 2014 Duke-Syracuse game and watch how Fair and Grant scores the ball. They did it all on ISO.
To slow down our offense all you need to do is give an effort and then it becomes can we make enough tough shots to stay close and/or win.
The sad truth is college basketball is sloppy because the players aren’t developed and the good ones leave really early.
