Maybe announce he intends to retire after the 2026-27 season and go on a 5 year exit cruise. We should be able to find a reasonable replacement with that kind of lead time, assuming he doesn’t pass due to old age prior to the planned retirement date. Just a thought on a slightly different transition plan.

Just announce a 10 year extension, along with announcing all future home games will be played in the Melo Center.
