Transfers will happen. What is more interesting to me is the amount of Top 50 guys NOT starting. 12 of the Top 14 guys are starters (assuming Taisun doesn't land as a starter). Then 15-50 (36 guys) only 7 are starters. So a total crap shoot pretty much after the top dozen guys. I wonder if other classes are similar.

The big deal is this are all the top top guys and its a crap shoot.. 2/3 of the teams are dealing with guys further down as many of these guys went to the top teams anyways

Players are not waiting around any more, especially top 50 guys. If they aren't playing or doesn't look like they will play anytime soon they will bounce. Basketball is now the same way. Highly ranked program guys are going to be fewer and fewer.

I was excited to see Shrader was rated that high. Don’t think I had seen that before. Have been quiet about this but with a good coach and system I could see 35-40 total touchdowns for him. Put it on paper.

PSU brought in the 16th and 28th ranked QBs and now neither is with the team.

I think a few lessons here:

There's a natural order to programs top QBs want to play for, and at first, they're not concerned about who else is on the roster.

Once on campus if they don't see a path to starting at their first school, guys come around pretty quickly to the idea that they'll have a better shot at getting the experience and exposure they need to make it to the NFL by transferring to another school. Programs lower in the pecking order have opportunities to scoop up guys like this (this is known as The Ballad of Garrett Shrader).

Rankings aren't perfect at prediction, and some guys won't ever be the impact player they were projected to be out of high school.

Some guys also find that their best position isn't actually QB.
