Sick to my stomach

Some stats:

479 total yards, 12 penalties for 104 yards, 263 yards rushing..ALLOWED. If dropped passes were a stat I think we would have had 5 or 6 (granted it was rainy, but ours were devastating).

The sooner this season wraps up and we exit the Big East the better. No way Syracuse will be allowed to win a conference championship in football or basketball if there is anyway the league can prevent it.

Seems like every week our mistakes are killers, including dropped passes. Just sick sick feeling.

We execute, we win.

For the past eight quarters, this is a football team that doesn't want to tackle. And that's bound to lose some football games.

Dropped passes, officiating, turnovers, penalties - those all stunk. But scholarship football players have to wrap guys up. And they have to catch balls thrown right to them. It's really disappointing how poor the defense has been in those two areas (the former in the past two games, the latter all season long).

true but we executed on the goal line strip and got shafted on the review. We executed on the other fumble and were screwed there as well. So, somethings are out of our control. When the ruling is made off the field and we can't see whose involved then it's more likely to go against us this year.

It's also unfortunate when a player drops a clean hard hit and receives a personal foul penalty.

Exactly. There are going to be miscues in a game. When you get screwed on two plays like that for likely 14 points it must be demoralizing. It's no wonder that after the second one our team looked flat, they realized for certain that they were playing two opponents.

That was weird. I don't love the play (for chrissakes - stop spearing and wrap the guy up), but how's it a penalty? Absurd.

He didn't spear, he hit him with his shoulder. It was the sound that made the refs throw they flag. The louder the sound of a hit, the more flags will get thrown.

But even after both of those we still had the lead and beat ourselves.
