I admit that I was just as disappointed as most of you in the performance Saturday. That being said, PSU looks to be pretty damn good as far as I can tell. Now, consider we were within a single TD of winning what was in reality a road game, and a game in which there were no less than three single plays which arguably we should have made that could have made up that TD, and I can see where there is reason to think we will end up pretty good. IMO, the game hinged on those plays.
Again, I agree that we looked awful and I agree it was not GM's finest hour. However, I prefer to give the team and GM some latitude because I believe it is nearly impossible to replace a staff, a system, and some key players without blow back. I do expect improvement every week, though. No exceptions. Next week will be telling...
