Moqui, help me out here. I think the pts per possession, 12th, is the most important , but given our poor FG% and FT%, it is hard to understand how this comes to be. A close second in importance is def pts per game. Overall, pretty damn good.

Just want to point this one out. What are there 335 teams?

Blocks and steals seem to pretty important, too. :)

based on these stats...'Cuse must really suck...I wonder if you mix in head coaching and staff, team chemistry, lots of heart, and a few game breaks falling 'Cuse way...WE WIN-WE WIN IT ALL!!!!!!!

I thought that they number of fouls called against us was very important as well. Considering how aggressive Fab has been with the blocks and the guards have been with the steals you would naturally think we would get a lot of fouls called.

To me, the biggest surprise of the season is the amount of minutes that Fab has been able to play. Not just with the stamina but his ability to either stay out of foul trouble or to contain himself while he has three or four fouls. As well as the whole team has played, no way are we where we are without Fab in the middle.

Third in the country in TO%. Our shooting isn't great (it's 55th in effective FG%), but since we don't turn the ball over, we got mroe shots.

I've heard points-per-shot can be important too...Does anyone know where we rank in that category?

We're 55th in effective field goal %, which is essentially points per shot, though it doesn't adjust for FT. I think statsheet has true shooting%.

It's our ability to create turnovers which drives a lot of those numbers. We score a lot in transition which increases your points-per-possession, assists, etc.

I think free throw percentage would be a key part of it.
