Sinclair, Bally’s Rebranding RSNs, Dropping Fox Sports Moniker

Sinclair and Bally’s today will unveil new names and logos for their 19 RSNs. The Bally Sports logos will replace the current Fox Sports logos at some point before the MLB season. The new logo incorporates the Bally name in red script. As part of the rebrand, Sinclair will shut down two part-time RSNs: FS Tennessee and FS Carolinas. Predators games will move to Bally Sports South; Hurricanes and Hornets games will move to Bally Sports Southeast. The rebrand also will affect RSNs in Cleveland and L.A. that have never carried the Fox Sports brand. SportsTime Ohio will become Bally Sports Great Lakes and Prime Ticket will become Bally Sports SoCal.

Sinclair and Bally's joined together with Bally's fronting a lot of money. Makes sense they would use their own logo.

I just hope for everyone's sake that people who know what they're doing are now going to be negotiating for these RSNs with the carriers. The Sinclair people were worse than totally inept. It almost seemed like they were trying to recoup the whole amount they paid for the RSNs in the first year instead of amortizing the costs.

Gotcha. I already get it, so I wasn’t sure. I just see cord cutters on Twitter bitching about YES all the time.

i tried the app.. I have no idea how to login. it says to use your provider.. but it seems like maybe you need to make a YES user and then connect after that but I never got that far.
