Sixty minute game

Patrick is manifesting a Notre dame Clemson and Miami upset… hummmmmmm…

SU and Buffalo both won when they were sitting on 1% win probability.

Insane.

As Journey says, “Don’t stop believing “

It is crazy how little plays make all the difference, too.

Down two scores late in the fourth, with things looking bleak, I thought that Fran Brown was doing a poor job with clock management. We had something like a 3rd and 10, and it looked like JRS should have drawn a pass interference flag, but didn't get the call. So it's 4th and long, and Angeli hits him for like a ~60 yard TD pass, with 5:42 remaining.

Let's just say we get the first down, but have to run another 1:35 getting a TD. Maybe we aren't in a position to get the go-ahead score at the end. Instead, we were able to play straight up since we scored quickly, and save the timeouts [which, given how things have unfolded the first two games with how we've had to burn through timeouts when we mismanage the play clock, was a miracle that we had all three in the 2nd half].

But to your point, you have to give our players credit. They could have quit. They didn't. They showed grit, when it didn't appear to be our day.

I thought UConn had horrible clock management in the 4th quarter protecting a lead. I was thinking they would try to just run clock but kept throwing incomplete passes. They could’ve easily milked another 2 minutes on their drives if they followed the Boeheim slide rule.

If UConn had a better quarterback, I don't think we could have come back from that deficit. Luckily, they didn't.

Or a coach with more balls.

When they took that one short pass on 3rd and long and amazingly got to 4th and less than a yard (on their side of the field), I thought for sure he'd go for it.

He didn't. Then they had a terrible punt snap, and we were able to get 3 points out of it.

Thanks Coach Mora!

If you are a Cuse and a Bills fan, you may want to invest in a pacemaker and a defibrillator.

Holy ****, what a weekend of football.

At least, as a Giants fan, my heart rate went back to 60 shortly after kick off on Sunday and stayed there.
what I wonder about is how many people went to both games. And did anyone leave both games early?

Of course, I love both the Orange and the Bills, but I've got the Minnesota Vikings (my #1 team) also to assault my psyche. Great MNF game last night. Just like the 'Cuse & the Vikes.

They had 4th and 4 and punted. It was a tale of two 4th and 4's.

In hindsight I wish Fran kicked the FG's early, but you can't be mad at a coach for being aggressive and believing his team will make a play. Mora didn't believe in his team and let us win. And that punt was so egregious because it just saved them another 20 yards, max.

To be fair, It was a pretty defensive game to that point where we were not moving the ball. So Mora deciding that what would be at least a 20 yard decision did make some sense. They almost downed it at the one as well. Hindsight is always 20-20.

And Fran choosing to go on 4th for those was on our first two drives when at that point you would expect us to have a decent shot at making those and expecting us to execute better on offense. But after watching 3 1/2 quarters more football you could certainly second guess that decision with hindsight. I didn't have a problem with him going for those. The problem was not converting them.

I'm just of the school where if UConn got that 4th and 4 they'd have likely won, so why not go for the win and assume your defense will get a stop?

But these are tough calls for coaches and Mora and Fran are two pretty smart guys so there's definitely logic and reasoned thought behind their decisions.
