SJU, Uconn, G Town, Pitt, BC

UConn, Gtown and St Johns all recruit at a much higher level than the other 3 I cited.

And we recruit higher than UConn, Gtown and St Johns, see how much that mattered?

We can't beat Georgetown. At home. Who's 14-18. On Pearl Washington Day.

Yeah, too much to handle clearly.
Did you watch the game. They looked like a top 10 team that day. They have serious talent.

We don't recruit much if any higher than them. This is like the football noncom, just rack up wins, the conference is tough enough.

You're wrong.

We might as well rotate it a bit... Maybe alternate between UConn and St John's at MSG, so we only play one a year. Play Georgetown every other year and try to get some home-and-home's with Maryland. Mix Villanova in, they might even play us at MSG. We could play in NYC, Philly and near DC every year without playing UConn, St Johns, Nova, and UConn every year.

Plus, if you loathe Georgetown, does anything stick it to them better than saying, "No, we're going to pass next year. We're playing... Maryland."

If we couldn't beat the teams we lost to then why would those games be automatic? At that point of the year I wouldn't have chalked down anything as a win.

JT3 is a long time opponent with success against us. Ollie and Mullin played against us, they all know what's coming. They aren't kid major coaches in awe of the dome or the zone

We are going to play 20 ACC games and a B1G challenge game. Line up the tomato cans.

I get it but those drives aren't "local". This is what we have to do in exchange for the ACC move.

We don't "have" to. It's a nice thing to do for a few thousand people who have other ways to see us. Flip side of the coin in exchange for them (us) to have a viable program to cheer for it's going to be new venues.

I'm an alum 10 minutes from Georgetown. Playing them is pointless. Grew up 10 minutes from St Johns. Playing then is pointless too. Those programs aren't the usual ham and eggers we beat up in the early season. If we cross paths with them in some MSG tournament so be it. Would rather dance in March than relive the good ole days in December

Why should it matter? Shouldn't we just grab those Ws and book those OOC W's? Or are we just a middling program most teams don't mind to play?

No reason at all to lose to them. They were all piss poor this year.

We should basically set our schedule as if we're going to go 10-10 in the ACC every year, and 2-8 on the road. We need to line up a couple halfway decent (but not too hard) road wins, maybe two marquee non-conference games, and crush everyone who enters the Dome. If we go into the conference at 8-2 with a 2-0 road record, 10-10 should get us in with a total 4-8 road record.

We need to try to check EVERY box for the committee every year because you never know which one is going to matter the most. The important ones you can control with your schedule are: Strength of Schedule, Quality Wins, No Bad Losses and Road Record. Those will all feed into the computer metrics.

SOS is pretty easy in the ACC. We'll get quality win opportunities in the ACC, avoiding bad losses means handling your business... Road record is trickier, and to me scheduling a couple of decent mid majors on the road is the way to go.

Well we did. Those coaches all know us and we were still getting our act together.
