Not sure if this is a step-down or step-up. Looks to be a lateral move to me. LaTech has a couple good years lately, while USF has obviously not. LaTech lost to TA&M by two and was ranked through the middle of the season until dropping their last two. While he's got to recruit against LSU and UT, the LA/TX/Bama area is rich enough in talent to supply him with just as good or better talent than he was getting at USF. Lastly, with the new playoff system he has just as much chance of being in one of the 5 Big Bowls as USF does now.

So funny that a few short years ago Syracuse wasn't good enough for the Holtz family, now he's gonna be plying his trade in the lovely town of Ruston LA. Thank god lou thought Syracuse was beneath his son.

With all the talent on the USF team it was hard for me to understand how they could lose like they did. Skippy must really not be such a good coach as everyone thought he once was.
