So are you all still afraid of GT?

Our defensive philosophy is what I fear most about the GTech game.

The option attack is specifically designed to take advantage of undisciplined, overly aggressive defenses through misdirection.

We have rarely shown the capability to play sound straight up D. Our effectiveness is predicated on how well we blitz - blitz or stunt incorrectly on an option team and you give up huge chunks of rushing yards and TDs.

I will be very pleased with our defensive staff if they can teach our kids to play disciplined assignment D for GTech. It'll go a long way in making me feel better about Bullough's penchant for bad blitzes and soft zone on third & longs.

GTech has beaten Elon (never heard of them), Duke, and a bad UNC team. Not murders row by any stretch.

I expect a rock fight game where we have a good chance to win because of our front 7 on Defense.

Elon.. small private university east of Greensboro that plays in the Southern Conference currently 2-5. Definitely can not guage GT by wins over any of these bad Carolina teams.

Also Ga Tech got beat down by BYU, who lost to Virginia. So if we are playing the who beat who game, there's that.

That Virginia game was really weird though. Horrible field conditions and I think there was an hour and a half delay for lightning. Hard to draw conclusions from that.

GT has thrown for 189, 125, 104, 144, 66 going into the BYU game.. given thats twice what we are doing lately..

You have to respect their scheme because it's different than anything we face. What game was it a few years ago when a running team ran the ball on us all day. It can be very frustrating. I think it was the UCONN game.. What

It was BC

That definitely felt like a 31-3 type game. But a win is a win, hope we can correct a few things.

It may have been 31-3 in the dome. The zebras were obviously wearing wolfpack gear under their shirts.
