I'm glad Benny is back at practice.  Unlike some of the other individuals listed earlier in the thread he is working to contribute under this adversity and not quit.   Frankly, how many of you in your life have been passed over for "promotion" or a "tasty" assignment.   Not a great feeling and all need an AA (Attitude Adjustment) day to sort things out.

There is a lot of folks on these boards "punching down" on our players.  Opening  these special threads/topics on players who are underperforming.   But I like to think other players stepped up for what we needed.  We have 5 Freshmen (2 starting) and a 1st Year starter.   We have a starter playing his position for the first time and another starter coming off an injury that ended his season.

Of our last 5 losses,  four(4) (And yes UNC will be ranked next week) have come against ranked teams and they were close (maybe reaching there with the 1st UVA game).  This is not surprising given the inexperience of three(3) of our starters and the first three(3) off the bench.  (Taylor/Brown/Hima).   We could have won four (4) of the games we lost had we executed plays at the end.   (SJU/Bryant/Pitt/UNC).    Had we executed and played well the entire game we could  have won two (2) more (Miami & UVA at home).   Did not happen.  I'm not happy, but we were almost there.

Would have loved to have different results in close games listed in the paragraph above.  But results speak for themselves and thusly, I think this is an NIT team.  I wished for NCAAs but even with a fantastic end of regular season (7-1 or 6-2) we will need to win ACC Tourney to get an invite.
