Im hoping... Morris...Morgan... Manley
Im hoping... Morris...Morgan... Manley
Did he lose the entire team or was the team just divided which would imply that half liked him and half didn't? Or maybe half didn't like him and half didn't like him even more?
What is with the attitude and spite being shown on the board lately?
Agree with OP on those three and hopefully a nice surprise thrown in

I hope everyone that is doubting Doug has to eat crow next year.
The thing is, I doubt Doug, and I hope you are right. I will happily be the first one in line at the all-you-can-eat crow buffet.I hope everyone that is doubting Doug has to eat crow next year.
I think winning solves everything and he does need to start going to bowls every year. I think being a football coach my self (not even close to college level) I tend to give a little more slack to them knowing how difficult it is. With that said however I by no means think he should stick around if he has another losing season this coming up year. But until that happens I will be giving my full support to the team and Doug rooting for a BE championship. I am an optimist so that's why I will always take that stance.IMO, Doug has to build consistency before his doubters go away, back to back bowl seasons, a 10-3/ 9-4 season followed with an 8-5 season or something of that nature, I think this year another 8-5 season with our league would have gone a long way
Wrong... there will always be doubters, even if you're winning. All it takes is a short losing streak and then everyone turns on the coach regardless of his history. It's a "what have you done for me lately" kind of world out there unfortunately.IMO, Doug has to build consistency before his doubters go away, back to back bowl seasons, a 10-3/ 9-4 season followed with an 8-5 season or something of that nature, I think this year another 8-5 season with our league would have gone a long way

Calling it now we will score 24 plus points a game next year. I really think they realize they have no choice to open this playbook up. For people reading this I am not asking for a freaking bubble screen (hate that play) I am asking on 3rd and 10 not to run a draw go five wide and have your receivers sit in the open spots in the zone. If there playing man to man throw the freaking deep ball to the side that doesn’t have safety help. The QB and WR position should be strengths on O next year IMO. Hopefully the O-Line steps it up and it’s not like a flood gate opening every time Ryan goes back to pass. Trudo will be legit and I think he will help us out a lot on the line. I am a homer so feel free to bash lol

This is so true.
A lot of people on this board are in love with Bill Snyder right now, but
A) there'd be a certain segment totally pissed off that he lost two games; one would be deemed an epic azz kicking (58-17 loss) which is totally unacceptable for good coaches; that only happens to bad coaches and,
B) in the other loss they'd be killing Snyder because being a close game (52-45) there'd bond to be numerous coaching mistakes that happened during the game.
I'm going to be watching very curiously to see what Snyder follows up with next season. If he's 6-6 what will the lovebirds think?; what have you done for me lately.

I like your post, so don't be offended by my questions...
Couple of questions for you Nova (or anyone else who wants to add their opinion). I agree with you about the staff realizing they need to open up the playbook. Doug has said as much. I see the close to the vest offense the last two years as more necessity than choice, but that's my opinion, others differ.
When people talk about going 4 and 5 wide this past year, my question is with who? And I hate to bang on players, but we had one wide receiver capable (Lemon) of competing for a full year at this level that could catch balls thrown to him consistently.
And my second question is...had we spread the field, gone five wide, attacked the edges, played Kinder instead of Nassib, gone all in with the young kids and the end result was a 1-11 or 2-10 year, would anyone have been happy with that result?
Nothing cheers me up more than reading a good discussion about what recruits might pan out. The authors have no idea. They are hanging on interpretations of statements by people, many of whom haven't seen the kid play.
The Washington Post had a good article about failed NFL QBs who were drafted in the first round by people with four years of game film to look at, the results of physical tests, interviews by psycholgists and coaches and all manner of input. Even with all this they couldn't project how well these players would actually do.
Forecasting who is going to do what in college with the information available is a fool's errand.
