So I made the mistake of watching a podcast

done by a couple of SEC guys about the Syracuse ND game. they think we will get routed because we really suck and no one knows it. Our only impressive game was the loss at Clemson. a couple of real ass hats. Oh, and Northwestern and USC and better than us. Now, they may be. But these guys wouldn't know.

Can’t comment on Northwestern but I can attest first hand that Syracuse is better than USC. I’ve watched every game of both teams. USC’s football offense is eerily similar to SU’s basketball offense. Neither can score easy, lack structure, lack physicality, and seem to lack any kind of fundamentals/good practice habits.

Having spent a lot of time in the south, I’ve been generally unimpressed with the college football knowledge there. They’ll be able to tell you who is the third string left guard on their team, will probably know the starters for at least 3 other SEC teams - and know absolutely nothing about any other team in the country. But to be fair - they do tend to make up for their lack of knowledge with their unrelenting arrogance and certainty.
