when was the last time we won four in a row?
2012:
Senior Day vs. Louisville
at Mizzou
at Temple
Pinstripe Bowl vs. WVU

If you include the bowl, we won our last 4 in 2012. Before that I think it was 2001 when we won 8 in a row.when was the last time we won four in a row?
What were the odds of going 8-4 at the beginning of the season? My autoschediastic statistical analysis says we have about a 6% chance of this happening. Not bad at all!

Yeah. With our schedule to start the year I’m pretty sure it was about 100/1 to go 8-4 based on the O/U being 4.5. And the fact that FSU and Louisville were supposed to be almost automatic lossesIf I remember correctly, our over/under on wins this year was at 4.5, so the odds we would win 8 games were probably very poor.

Parents weekend (or whatever they call it like cisgender celebration for nuclear living units)FSU is in meltdown mode, come off a thrashing, 2/3 empty stadium, fans there ready to launch at the least negative thing.
6 play 1:30 drive TD on the first possession, 3 and out on defense. Game over.
Great post. They gotta somehow shake off the early game, on the road cobwebs on Saturday. Hard for college kids psychologically. They also haven't played in 2 weeks - might take a little time to find a rhythm. As long as we don't start out like the LSU game - I think we'll be fine. And then yes - I think the team plays downhill for the rest of the year (barring a Dungey injury).I think if we win this weekend, a sweep is in play. I'm very worried about coming out flat vs FSU, giving them some momentum and for their pride to step up. This, to me, is the easiest game left if we play it correctly. This is one game where I hope we win the toss and then dance down the field for a score.
After this game, I feel like the momentum will be a groundswell for this team. November is all about who is playing for what in college football. We're playing for relevancy which is a really powerful 12th man.

Get to 6 first. 8 later.no worse than 3rd in the division and very, very, very outside shot at the conference championship game.
To finish first, Clemson has to beat NCSt this week and lose to FSU.
NCst in addition to losing to Clemson needs to lose two out of three to Wake, BC, and UNC.
If all that were to happen SU would be playing for the conference.
If SU goes 4-0, BC, Wake, Lville and FSU can't catch up, all have 3 or 4 conference losses already.
