So, in total, the people who ruined SU football...

I am sure Billy Edelin did something wrong.

For starters, I'd like to state unequivocally that the Utica Club beer shortage of '05 ruined more than just SU football, it ruined my life, briefly made PeteCalvin unbearable (The UC makes him much more interesting to hang out with) and generally caused misery not seen since the last Matt's beer ball was emptied.

Another person to place major blame on for the demise of SU football is the complete and total douchenozzle that introduced the whole key shake thing. What an assmunch that person is.

We can also blame:

  • Little Cindy's swim meets (A old Kaiser go-to)
  • Kaiser, who I love but who I don't think comes to games but chastises those of us who also don't.
  • Buzz Shaw (Can't be said often enough)
  • Perry Patterson's grandmother, who made these boards unreadable
  • Apple farmers
  • Critz' pumpkin patch
  • Me for not consistently buying season tickets.
  • Everyone who picked on Orange Nasty and his turkey frying RV
  • DonnieManhatten's scouting service, which turned our staff on to 3rd string Class D players everywhere.
  • Adam Schein, for leaving our beloved CNY.
  • Bud (See Buzz Shaw above)
  • Whatever TV directors that constantly focused on P scowling in utter confusion when his 4th consecutive dive play in a row failed to convert on 4th and 8.

It's been way too long since someone blamed Swish for something, so, Swish.

If you are going to blame Swish you have to blame Joe College who might big the single biggest reason for the programs demise.

Love the Pete Curkendall reference!! I have an acquaintance who is short a few front teeth as a result of a run in with Pete..

And JJ Grant...that Liverpool team with him and Hank Flounery on it was impressive. If I remember correctly, Chris Jones was on that team too..he ended up playing for the Reds for a few years..

I blame the same person I've blamed for everything since 1986:

I'm tired of you and your lack of accountability, Howard Jones!

Didn't he break up Mexican Mudd? Which in a way hurt the program more than anyone would know.

The ref that called pass interference in the Tennessee game back in '98.

my dad met that ref. unfortunately was in a work setting and couldnt tell him what his real thoughts were.

How about Big bouncer dude, who was always the guy at Chuck's and or Sutters? I think he ruined the program

OK here it is Joe College met with Buzz Shaw and told him that diverting funds from athletics was not only a good idea but it was a moral imperative. When Dr. Gross was willing to give PP another year JC met with him at midnight after the Champs bowl and demanded P's head and also suggested Greg Robinson. Ladies and gentleman the case against Joe College.

Whoever turned 44's into a falafel joint isn't exactly a hero of mine either.

And of course, this guy...

I think that was Rob Konrad, indirectly.

Put the Maggie's owner on this list. 5 cent Molson cans the Friday before the 1998 Tennessee game was the gasoline on the fire that was the college bar crackdown in Syracuse. Still the best 80 cent hangover I've ever had.
