The naes thing has me more worried there's an open scholarship
Shuffling the deck. We can only take so many assuming no more defections and everybody coming in qualifies. The naes thing has me more worried there's an open scholarship
There are still open scholarships available...
Good to hear Naes is getting a 2nd chance. Being a hometown kid, and coming from a HS my Grandfather coached at for decades, i've always had a soft spot for Naes. Hopefully with a year away from football he's learned a lesson, and comes back more mature. Not to mention he's a hell of an athlete that has a chance to be a player for us.
The news about Daoust is just as good. I was nervous for a while, but thankfully the talks have moved away from his name. That would have been a terrible blow to the staff.
Now let's close out this class strong with Pickard, Clayton, and Stocker, and things will be looking up.
2 out of 3 aint bad. Don't think Pickard will happen given the dynamic at Wisconsin and who is staying on staff, but absolutely can see Clayton and Stocker in Orange.
Source on Daoust?
Good point about the back dating, which as it turned out we ended up not filling all 5 spots we had available. Still limited to 25 for the current year regardless (as well as 85 total) and he won't count against the last openings in the 2015 class.Understood but with the top shelf uncommitted kids still coming to bat I'd rather we go that route.
I guess the more i think about it I'm wrong cause Naes wont count against the 25 and he'll be back dated. Plus we need safeties. Hopefully he has his sht together, the next strike he'll be gone for good.
I would give the world for one of our QB's to turn into Madei Williams. But - golly gee, gosh darn it - even though I didn't think Edouard would make it here, we really needed him. Maybe he would have turned out to be Madei Wiliams, but I would have liked to known for sure.
Source on Daoust?
Yup. Good enough for me. We used to have a radio host in Cincy that there were only 2 acceptable sources of information #1 - Heard it from Mom or Grandma, #2 - Read it on the bathroom wall. Any other source like a book, newspaper, internet, TV was unacceptable and subject to ridicule for its validity. I'm thinking "Jake said" could be #3.The source is "Jake". Enough said.
well he did say naes would be back...Jake said it.

I have been told not likely but maybe Jake knows better.
