but those uniforms sucked. They ranged from almost passable to What were they thinking. While sure I liked the McNabb era jerseys but I've been open to new uni ideas. I think new designs have worked to one degree or another at some schools. Not here.
I've tried to think of some possible rationale for orange based unis "not being available for this season" What does that even mean? Has there been some sort of worldwide shortage of orange? We are the Syracuse Orange for god sake. I may be blue about the season but it doesn't mean our unis have to be! And when they do manage to sneak some orange in - it's not even the right orange. When did we become the Texas Longhorns? Did someone make off with the pantone chart at Nike?
The numbers are just stupid. Not properly outlined and why are they soooo long? They look ridiculous. They are supposed to be some sort of hat tip to the NYC skyline? Really? Folks at Nike need to get a map. And lines are angled at 44 degrees - like anyone looking at these abominations would have a clue that was the case. Oh look honey - look at the lines - I think they are at 44 degree angles - cool!
And maybe my pet peeve are those freaking lines they have on the shoulder pads. They tried something similar a few years ago and I despised them then. Looks amateurish.
Seriously, I think the designers at Nike just sat back and laughed all season. Hey look at those idiots - they actually used those designs and bought our story about orange not being available. Bring back the orange with blue and jazz em up some.
Out.
