but those uniforms sucked. They ranged from almost passable to What were they thinking. While sure I liked the McNabb era jerseys but I've been open to new uni ideas. I think new designs have worked to one degree or another at some schools. Not here.

I've tried to think of some possible rationale for orange based unis "not being available for this season" What does that even mean? Has there been some sort of worldwide shortage of orange? We are the Syracuse Orange for god sake. I may be blue about the season but it doesn't mean our unis have to be! And when they do manage to sneak some orange in - it's not even the right orange. When did we become the Texas Longhorns? Did someone make off with the pantone chart at Nike?

The numbers are just stupid. Not properly outlined and why are they soooo long? They look ridiculous. They are supposed to be some sort of hat tip to the NYC skyline? Really? Folks at Nike need to get a map. And lines are angled at 44 degrees - like anyone looking at these abominations would have a clue that was the case. Oh look honey - look at the lines - I think they are at 44 degree angles - cool!

And maybe my pet peeve are those freaking lines they have on the shoulder pads. They tried something similar a few years ago and I despised them then. Looks amateurish.

Seriously, I think the designers at Nike just sat back and laughed all season. Hey look at those idiots - they actually used those designs and bought our story about orange not being available. Bring back the orange with blue and jazz em up some.

Out.

I tried to be open minded but I came to hate them more and more as the season and losing wore on. In theory I like the color combinations, but they just look stupid. And now they're associated with this 3-9 disaster of a team and I hate them and want to watch them burn.

With so many fans just down on the program, you'd think SU would do something to make many people happy and just throw fans a bone and go back to uniforms that look like the 90's. For me I think I'd like the 90's helmets and pants with the Marrone-era jerseys. Best of both worlds.

New uniform plan: Go back to the McNabb/Graves/McPherson era uniform uniforms. Period. Stay with them. If a team ever goes undefeated in the regular season, then they get to choose a 3rd uniform for a game or two the following year. Otherwise there is no discussion. Maybe the pre-game tweets will be more about how the teams looks fired up and ready to go rather than how the pant/jersey combination look with the helmet du jour.

Teams that change uniforms all the time are also amateurish. We have a "brand", lets stick with it. All the top programs stay the course; I'd like SU to emulate those programs. Oh and maybe win too.

They are the friggin' worst.

The.

Worst.

I love innovative uniforms. I love what Oregon does.

I EVEN LIKED THOSE HIDEOUS THINGS MARYLAND WORE.

But I hate, Hate, HATE our craptastic uniforms.

I am going to root all winter for a massive fire wherever they are stored.

I was a fan of changing uniforms, but even i can say these were terrible. I am sure our new coach in 2016 will scrap these immediately.

And by the way, our players, who we were told are the ones these uniforms are for, went 3-9.

Until further notice they should lose all uniform selecting privileges.

:)

We were told that, but then it was spilled that the players are told the combination. Just another of Giansante's agenda of lies.

Anyway, it's clear that Nike gave all the good orange-centric designs to Oregon State. I guess Gross needs to hire some other ex-Oregon staff members if we want Nike to treat us better.

My wife was watching the game Saturday - she rarely does - and she said, "What's up with those uniforms? They're horrible."

I said, "You should see the bad ones."

During one of the early games I asked my kids what they thought.

They're 11 and 7 so they should totally be down with this kind of new fangled design.

They hated them.

Like, aggressively hated them.

Be careful what you wish for. With our luck, I'm guessing they store them in the new IPF.
