Fellow poster section314 got me this for my birthday. Met him here in Alaska, went to Keuka, knows some of my friends. Leaving alaska for the east coast next week
What a great age! Happy B-day!
Good call Nostradamus/Santa Claus!CuseTroop, praying for more mojo for the LAX boys to give you another present and complete a frikkin HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE comeback.....
Not sure which I like better, but can I pick Santa Claus?Good call Nostradamus/Santa Claus!
Let me help a little...First, happy birthday, Adam! My daughter just turned 27. She is quite the Cuse fan. When I am on the Other Side, I would probably present myself to others as I was when 27. It was a great year for me - and my body. Ha ha!
Second, what is the Moten FB phenomenon? I'm not on FB. How did he know it was your birthday? Please indulge a geezer and catch me up! (Why am I not on FB? Because I desperately do not want to see what my kids are up to!)
I just hope it's really him! I am guessing it is, and that he's just an awesome guy.I can't be the only one to find the whole Lawrence Moten Facebook phenomenon to be a bit odd right?
Let me help a little...
On FB, you can show information about yourself such as hometown, birthday, etc.
One of the only things I use it for, which makes me feel good:
On the top right of your window, it shows: Today is So and So's birthday
So you can send them a quick post: "Happy birthday, bro!"
It's probably what I use FB for the most.
Edit: About the Moten phenomenon. Not only does he make Facebook friends with Cuse fans, in FB you can make a friend request of someone or they can make a request of you. Usually, in the case of celebs, athletes and people with fame, they get many friend requests and sometimes oblige. In the case of Moten, he actually reaches out and makes the request of Cuse fans! Doesn't seem like much, but it must be very cool to get a request in your inbox to find out it's Lawrence Moten.![]()
My pleasure.Thank you for all the info, Tee! I have always loved Moten and have forgiven him for that time-out call so many years ago. (Isn't that magnanimous of me?) If I had a message from Moten, my heart would skip more than a few beats!
Re: Facebook. I am just so social, that if I were on FB, I wouldn't have a life, wouldn't go to work. It would suck up my time like a giant Hoover. (Look at me now! I'm on the bball forum in May!) Besides, there's that kid thing . . . . yech!
