27th bday = complete

Awesome.

Happy birthday brother (i know it's not as cool as wishes from Poetry, but it will have to do)

CuseTroop, praying for more mojo for the LAX boys to give you another present and complete a frikkin HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE comeback.....
Good call Nostradamus/Santa Claus!

First, happy birthday, Adam! My daughter just turned 27. She is quite the Cuse fan. When I am on the Other Side, I would probably present myself to others as I was when 27. It was a great year for me - and my body. Ha ha!

Second, what is the Moten FB phenomenon? I'm not on FB. How did he know it was your birthday? Please indulge a geezer and catch me up! (Why am I not on FB? Because I desperately do not want to see what my kids are up to!)

Let me help a little...
On FB, you can show information about yourself such as hometown, birthday, etc.
One of the only things I use it for, which makes me feel good:
On the top right of your window, it shows: Today is So and So's birthday
So you can send them a quick post: "Happy birthday, bro!"

It's probably what I use FB for the most.

Edit: About the Moten phenomenon. Not only does he make Facebook friends with Cuse fans, in FB you can make a friend request of someone or they can make a request of you. Usually, in the case of celebs, athletes and people with fame, they get many friend requests and sometimes oblige. In the case of Moten, he actually reaches out and makes the request of Cuse fans! Doesn't seem like much, but it must be very cool to get a request in your inbox to find out it's Lawrence Moten. :)

Thank you for all the info, Tee! I have always loved Moten and have forgiven him for that time-out call so many years ago. (Isn't that magnanimous of me?) If I had a message from Moten, my heart would skip more than a few beats!

Re: Facebook. I am just so social, that if I were on FB, I wouldn't have a life, wouldn't go to work. It would suck up my time like a giant Hoover. (Look at me now! I'm on the bball forum in May!) Besides, there's that kid thing . . . . yech!

My pleasure. :)
FB does suck you in, I agree. But as for syracusefan, I want to be sucked in! Much more enjoyable.

Still, as in CuseTroop's case, when most family and friends are far away, FB is probably a big help in that department.

There are only two athletes I have friended on facebook.. One is Lawrence. I probably won't interact with him but it is kind of neat to see our all time leading scorer interacting with fans and so enthusiastic about all the athletic teams on his page. Not sure how many schools can say that. The other one is Rob Long, because quite frankly, we would all be better people if we were more like Rob Long.
