So, Tomaselli's story has been proven false by NYDN

well, atleast part of it...

Tomaselli said in a sworn statement to Syracuse police that he rode the team bus from Syracuse to a game in Pittsburgh in 2002 and was molested by Fine in the team hotel when he was just 13 years old. But the Daily News checked the schedule for that season and discovered the team did not take a bus to Pittsburgh, but instead flew to Pittsburgh after a road game in Tennessee.

tomaselli did not in fact have two pickets to tittsburgh

There have been sooo many articles. Which one? Todays paper?

Sent from my DROIDX

I'm basing it off of what the OP posted. Am I reading that wrong? (serious question)

A couple of questions about what te Daily News "discovered".

First, how does checking the schedule reveal how the team traveled?
Second, The Tennessee game was 3 DAYS BEFORE the Pitt game. What did the Orange do in the interim?

But most importantly, does anyone really think this article helps SU and Jim Boeheim?
Read the lead.
That's how the story generally is playing.
This coach turned in a cringeworthy performance last night.
If one of his players performed so poorly in such a crucial situation the guy would be riding the bench.
Forever.
Maybe even banished from the team.
Hmmmmmm.

You see ... somebody has it wrong and what was the actual statement made by Tomaselli (or his girl-friend). According to the Daily News story Tomaselli rode the "team bus" to Pitt ... which would have been patently false. According to the PS as I read it he states that he was on a chartered bus with SU Athletic staff. I'm assuming that if it had been the team he would have clearly stated that he rode the team bus as was reported by the Daily News.

Exactly. It doesn't matter what the papers say, because now there are 2 conflicting stories as to what his sworn statement said. Only what is in the actual sworn statement, which us nor the papers have seen, matters. So I don't think anything has been proven that he is lying nor proven that he is telling the truth.
