Morgan and Jones are the big names on the board. If Morgan is good enough to step into the secondary immediately, I would have to go with him Losing Phil Thomas is a big hurt for Shafer and Marrone.Anderson is shaky and Desir never established him self out there. I'm still waiting for reports on Mungwa as a step in for Samarko. Now maybe Shamarko comes back but its a ? One of the freshmen? maybe??:noidea:

Wayne will not be getting much PT as a freshman if he comes here. Lyn, Eskridge, Reddish, and George will all play CB before Morgan gets out there.

Desir and Wilkes at Safety.

I'd like to get Wayne Morgan and Josh Manley. Along with a few other "surprise" players.
A little greedy but I'm good with that. Fill the freaking class with as many good players as possible. And please do it quickly.couchburn

I really had no idea that Eskridge was CB material. I thought he was strictly safety. I hope you are correct as far as he is concerned. :bat:Reddish on defense didn't impress at all.

True frosh CB's rarely impress so Reddish getting burnt 1 on 1 vs USC isn't a huge shock. Rumor has it that Eskridge was "toying" with out WR's in practice though so he may be the exception to the rule.

I'll go with a surprise guy that maybe we jump back into the race for, like Willie Henry.

Morgan is next in the cross-hairs, so I'm staying optimistic that he is more in the "close the deal as a formality" group, than the "cherry on top group."

When we pulled Max out of Florida I was happy that we were building relationships and getting a three-star with very good offers. But I was never all that excited about the player, and that's the way I kind of feel about Manley. Intrigued, but not sold.

Still have no clue what is going on with the JUCO's, but hoping we pull Johnson and Jones.

I agree Johnson and Jones look like they would be on the two deep from day one. I would also like to see us add a kick off specialist. Someone who can reach the goal line or better more often than not

eskridge was a high octane WR in high school so it wouldn't be a total "out of nowhere" possibility.

Toying with "our" WR's in practice. Sorry for the typo. He was playing CB vs our WR's and making them look plain while making plays on the ball.

Our WR's are "plain"

Our team last year was plain. Lemon is solid, and hopefully one of the young guys steps up as well as sales comes back.

Playing against solid cover corners in practice can only make our WR's get better. IMHO, one (any) unit on the team needs to step up and excel and the rest of the team will grow as a result.

Lemon is not near enoughIMO I'm looking for Hale to emerge or our rookie zCornrlius who I'm told is a future great at Syracuse. Fluid, smooth with good speed ,hands and vertical. Lweis is no bench sitting kid either.Speed is better than advertised guys. He has that play making factor and hustle. Count me as a Ben Lewis enthusiast.

I'm not sure if Lewis will end up on offense or defense but I guess if Moore wanted him WR would make the most sense.

Don't forget about West either, don't think we've seen all he has to offer.
I'm with you on Hale though. Can't wait to see that guy hit the field this Spring.
