Was it the lockout? I guess I can see it for that. I also am not suggesting these injuries mean his career is over or that he won't be a no. 1 pick, etc. But really, why gamble?
That's a nice idea and it's cool that he wanted to do that. But the lockout would have been a much smarter answer on his part. A season full of back and foot injuries isn't going to make him much money. And, if we're being honest, these guys are right for wanting to make as much money as possible as quickly as possible.
