Some crazy cheap tickets on stubhub right now

I caught a lucky break finding a sucker from LA to buy some at $12

it's surprising that it's worth the time to people to even bother selling a ticket that cheap. i wish there was a better way to give tickets away. the online ticket transfer is great but it's hard to find the right people to transfer them to to get butts in seats.

there is some cutoff where you just need to give the tickets away to someone who'll appreciate them that has no money at all. that cutoff is somewhere above 9 bucks.

I, and a few others, will bring any extras to the tailgate. Often, I don't even charge anything depending on the game and how many I have.

im speaking directly to the OP and subject title, which is encouraging others to help the school lose money.

thats why these games should all be at Giants Stadium.

Syracuse Boys & Girls Clubs, youth groups, local church organizations, etc.

Just give them a call - they'd be happy to take them and find a taker. And whether or not its the right person or not, at least it's a local and not some schlub coming to root for LSU/FSU/Clemson...

It's actually not. Is someone really that psyched about CMU? No. But they go on stubhub and snag a ticket for $10. Does SU lose money at the box office? Sure. But guess what, at $30 face value from the BO, chances are that person wouldn't buy those tickets anyway. They are buying on stubhub because it's cheap. If people just ate their tickets, what you would really see isn't an increase at the BO but a decrease in actual bodies on gameday. Most tickets on stubhub come from season ticket holders, who also purchase season parking. The parking isn't usually included with the tickets, so SU essentially gets to double down on the parking for the ticket sold on stubhub. They got money from the STH who bought season parking, and they get money from the random fan who bought his tickets on stubhub. SU also gets absolutely no money in concession sales if nobody goes either. There's alot more to it than BO sales. SU still makes their money off StubHub lurkers.
