Next time its Hancock to RDU. Also don't try to get a hotel on the fly, there are no rooms in Shenandoah Valley. I was desperate for room late Saturday night on the way home, and couldn't find one until Md. ( The room i found was available for a reason, it was bad ) I found out that this is huge tourist area in the fall. with apple festivals, civil war reenactments and other festivals, which also explained the Friday traffic, live and learn .
