So are we just gonna call Chris Slayton, Clayton now to save time?
Personally I'm going to think of him as "The Quiet Man".

no, thats Sean Thornton.Personally I'm going to think of him as "The Quiet Man".
A few more bodies:
Brandon Ginnetti - 6-3 250 DL
Anthony Guidice - 6-2 250 DL
Kenny Carter - 6-5 260
AJ Duerig - 6-4 272 - recruited as a center is also a nasty DT

exactly.
Good news on this front: we don't play G-Tech in 2015.Here's hoping that crew can avoid injury, because I think they'll prove more than adequate if we can keep them upright this year.
Raymon will bounce back. Samuels was the defensive MVP of spring ball. Slayton has the tools to be a great player for us. And Clark / Cross should provide more than adequate platoon depth, maybe more.
Provided we don't have ridiculous injuries a la the OL last year, I think the interior of the DL is going to surprise many.
Just read an article that said Guidice is more like 270-275 lbsA few more bodies:

I wouldn't count on Ginnetti yet. I think it all depends on how well he recuperates from his injury.
The DL definitely has some very nice prospects for Daoust to work with. Slayton, Clark, Pickard, Ealey, Sheppard. We're used to having Daoust make wonders out of nothing. Can't wait to see what he can do with some bonafide stud prospects.

Slayton's weight room strength is great...but DL is not Sumo, it's technique and stamina. Hoping for the best.

I've been thinking about the DL rotation from the 2010 team for a while. It was basically a trio rotation of Tribbey/Lewis/Perkins. Bromley worked his way in later on and filled in when Lewis or Perkins (can't remember which) was suspended for Pinstripe Bowl. I don't remember Boatman playing that much.Raymon, Samuels, Slayton, Clark, Cross. That's pretty much it, I think. A senior, two redshirt freshmen & two true freshmen. One guy who has played snaps at a high level - and he has yet to show an ability to stay completely healthy...
That being said, I am cautiously optimistic they can be serviceable. In 2010, when we had the best defense we have had at SU since Freeney, we had one guy who had seen meaningful snaps in his career (Tribbey), but primarily as a backup. Then you had Andrew Lewis who was a career backup until that point (a redshirt senior, mind you) and another redshirt senior (Perkins) who had been a career backup to that point, too. Then you had Jay Bromley, a lightly recruited true freshman who ended up being a force later in his career, as the fourth guy & Corey Boatman as a little used 5th.
If everyone stays healthy - and that's a big if, I realize - this unit has a lot more talent than that one. Not nearly as much experience, but I think the redshirt freshmen have a load more talent/potential than Lewis/Perkins. And Raymon is better than Tribbey, when healthy. Not to say anything about Clark & Cross.
