some will have fun with this duke photo

utterly harmless

just an excuse for whiny ass Duke or Gun haters to step up onto a dirt clod and pretend they have seized the moral high ground
I don't want to climb on a soap box, but for me, with all the problems with gun violence in the past year or two, we don't need this type of photo in mass media.
FYI, I have been a gun owner and hunter for all of my adult life.

If you see the whole picture there is a cadet behind them to the far right. Somebody just enlarged one part of the photo.

1. Never point your weapon at anything you're not willing to shoot.(weapons should be pointed at the ground)

2. Get your fingers off the triggers.

3. Is that a Mormon with a gun? Dafuq.

4. That dude crouching has the worst firing posture I have ever seen. Id expect that position from a 5 year old.

5. Pretty obvious these dinks.are in a simulator. I bet their scores were terrible.

I think a harmless picture would have been of one or two of them lined up on a range with ear protection on in the firing position. Instead they look like a gang of thugs.

Which is dumber? Duke releasing this photo... or Syracuse hiring a guy with " violent and misogynistic lyrics." to perform at a family event at the Dome? Seems like a case of bad judgment in both places.
Duke releasing this photo.

Seriously people, let's try not to be too hypocritical here.

There was another picture posted on the Twitter of one of our players this year holding a gun just like the Duke players, too, but I can't seem to find it. They are at West Point, where K went to school, and what they're doing in that picture is really nothing different AT ALL than what our football players have done the last couple years at Fort Drum. You know that a bunch more pictures of our football guys posing with guns are out there, but no one cares because Duke basketball is higher profile than Syracuse football.

Let's stop trying to make something out of nothing and acting like this is so beneath us in any way.

Did k ever enter the service... like he was suppose to?

Yes. He served from 1969-1974. He apparently retired from service having attained the rank of Captain. Part of that time was spent coaching but he still served in South Korea in that span, as well.

So, in short...yes. He did serve.

Did he go to 'nam?

Jeff, you don't see the diff context in the imagery of those shots?

Again, there were other pictures taken of our football team...I remember specifically one picture this fall of one of our players posing very, very similarly to these guys with a machine gun, but I cannot for the life of me find it.

Ok assuming there are (and I don't doubt it) it just seems like a poor idea...the training stuff...completely legit
