I'm not a FSU fan but the regional bias is a bit tiresome and outdated.

Yeah there is bias everywhere. For the record it's my understanding that the US news rankings methodology are heavily weighted on opinion surveys and not facts. I have referenced those surveys before (not familiar then with their methods)also but given understanding of their methods, I would not rely on that being a viable source.
In fairness to Florida though it looks like there's a state scholarship program that makes it really cost effective for all students to attend the state universities. That will influence the good students to stay depending on the degree they want.

They have both realized that. What is at stake fort them is that each wants to be the 1A to the other's 1B. They can work together only to do fun things like destroy the Pac an forever make the Big XII into something much less than close top bring their equal. And their prize: destroying the ACC,

The only way the ACC can position itself so that it has the power to force its way into that group of 2, making to a group of 3 (hopefully that meaning that even the further weakened Big XII is brought in too), is to cut dead weight and take from the Big XII the schools that will most help the ACC secure more TV viewers for football and more teams able to make the playoffs each YEAR.

Nobody is able to save Wake in this matter. So acting with saving Wake as even a third level priority is just nigh suicidal.
