When I was watching the games earlier I noticed just how good the special teams, and how important for that matter, were of the teams playing.

A few times the punter was able to pin the opponent in the 5 yard line. People forget sometimes how important this is, especially since we didn't see it all year. It allows for safety opportunities and good ensuing field position--in fact two safeties occurred today.

We should have dy davis, spruill, shamarko, lynch, lyn, desir, jerome smith, vigile, west, krautman, and wales on our specials.

I bet there is a ST coach unlike the Orangemen. Did they return punts? I can feel my Blood pressure going up just think about the crap we put out in STs. Just because we have a quality kicker in Krautman doesn't mean we have quality STs.:bat:

no one here forgot-cant say the same about marrone
our special teams was a complete fiasco on its best day-he should have moved one of his double position coach's part way thru the season it was so evident

Vigille was refd-shirted so there I have to disagree but otherwise OK It used to be the starter wanted to be on STs.

We certainly missed Rob Long this year. He had a big impact on the outcome of multiple games last year...and if we had him this year, I think we may have won another game or two by winning the field position game. So many times this year we gave our opponent a short field that resulted in scores.

If we play starters in the kicking game we might get injured and stumble to the finish. Uh,oh wait
