IL and Xanders have their merits but too much stock is given to rankings by a commercial outlet that does not have the manpower or resources for wide coverage.  Many parents pay to have  their kids travel to showcase but many more do not. Place value in having former alumni with discerning eyes watching local games during the  regular hs season .Serve as field scouts who identify and refer players and atheletes for looks. In addition ,  schools and clubs  possess better knowledge of their own so expanding networks into them can be  as important as attending showcases or holding prospect days imo.

Amazing how we win a single ACC game if you simply go off the ranks of the recruiting classes of others. Yes somethings are wrong but somethings are also right.
