Amare would have to be involved but his contract is horrible for any non-big market team. In other Knicks news they are expected to sign Mike Bibby today to the veterans minimum and according to Marc Berman as of 5 minutes ago are working on a 3 team deal that would involve Toney Douglas leaving and the Knicks acquiring Jamal Crawford. Knicks also reportedly offered a contract to JJ Barea.

I think this is a good thing for the Laker's, Dwight Howard come on down. I think he is the better fit there. Angers me as a Net's fan though. They aren't gonna get anyone and they will lose D-Will.

It seemed all but a done deal that the Nets were getting Dwight Howard 2 days ago. Then the tampering thing blew it up. I keep hearing you guys are working on a deal for Nene as a fallback. Nene/Lopez down low with D-Will isnt horrible.

So, as the Knicks settled for Tyson Chandler last week instead, that wedding toast was revealed to be til-Melo’s-need-to-get-paid-do-us part. And then there’s this: You have to wonder how Stoudemire feels about the suggestion this week that, because of what Anthony did, Stoudemire was almost traded for Paul because Stoudemire was the only piece the Knicks had left to trade for him."

Would be a bad move. Basically trading Douglas, who is a very good defensive player and a good enough offensive player for Crawford, who is a good offensive, but not much on defense. They have Melo and Amare, don't need someone else who takes a ton of shots and doesn't play defense.

a lot would have to go right (or, from a knicks fan's standpoint, wrong) for miami to sign chauncey. he'd be a good fit there, though. i do like the pickup the heat made the other day -- shane battier.

That was a great signing, I agree. Who knows maybe youll sign Chauncey and Eddie Curry will become a monster again haha.
