Class of 2016 Spring Evaluation Period

Nike held an underclassmen camp this past weekend. Here goes some of the measurements from the 18/19 targets of interest. Heights were measured without shoes btw. So you can add another inch or so with shoes on.

Marcus Zegarowski(MCW younger bro)-5'11, 164, 6'1 wingspan.
Jahvon Quinerly-5'11, 159, 6'3 wingspan.
Brandon Slater-6'5, 182, 6'11 wingspan,
Isaiah Mucius-6'6 176, 6'11 wingspan.
Louis King-6'6, 194, 7'0 wingspan.
Isaiah Stewart-6'6, 227, 7'3 wingspan.
Kofi Cockburn-6'10, 248, 7'2 wingspan.
Stewart: Nice. Repeat after me: Prototypical Syracuse wing.

Isaiah Stewart has a 7'3'' wingspan at 6'6".....That's ridiculous!

And that is a massive Cockburn.

Plus I think he's only 15 still. Could grow another 2-3 inches and add even more length before hitting college.

True that. Those Stewart numbers jumped off the page for me. Wow!

Here goes the measurements from the Team USA trials. These were taking with shoes on.

2017
Quade Green-6'1, 172, 6'1 wingspan.
Hami Diallo-6'5, 188, 6'11 wingspan.
Lonnie Walker-6'4, 192, 6'10 wingspan.
Jordan Tucker-6'6, 207, 6'8 wingspan.
Mo Bamba-6'11, 207, 7'9 wingspan.
MJ Walker-6'5, 207, 6'6 wingspan.
Chaundee Brown-6'5, 208, 6'8 wingspan.

2018
Cam Reddish-6'7, 199, 7'0 wingspan.
Naz Reid-6'9, 240, 7'2 wingspan.
Jalen Smith-6'9, 190, 7'1 wingspan.

Not much length on Quade, but good to see him measure over 6ft. Diallo and L. Walker would provide freakish length up top of the zone. Bamba needs a few more steaks and burgers in his system, but that 7'9 wingspan sure makes up for it. When thinking that he can play positions 1-3, Cam Reddish's numbers are just ridiculous.

This is awesome, thanks for posting. Was Richards there?

Nah. Remember he just came over from Jamaica a few years ago. So I'm not sure if he's even eligible to compete for USA teams yet. All of the notable Cuse targets at the event was listed above.

Oh ok, makes sense. Do you know if we have started actively recruiting MJ Walker? Or how much love we are showing Bamba? I assume we are still hard after Green, Diallo and Tucker. And are just getting started with Reddish. And we have been pretty active with Naz all along.

Dunno yet if we finally gave Walker a call. We haven't been strongly in the Bamba mix as I had hoped during the spring. Hopefully that'll change in the coming months. Sidibe might be our most realistic and drama free option at the moment when talking big men.

Not a bad option to fall back on. And we are still after Diagne as a guy that would have 3 to play 3, right?

I personally wouldn't touch Diagne. Too much drama surrounding that guy. I rather let him be somebody else's problem to deal with. Plus I think it's more likely for him to play pro ball somewhere than suiting up at a D1 school in the future.

I hope it works out for both parties, but kid has issues, no?
I would say he needs to mature as he gets older and make better decisions. He's had a very tough upbringing, but has an adoptive family looking out for him to do better in life. It's on him to make sure those efforts doesn't go to waste. More insight on his background and situation is in the video below.

Here goes some more measurements on other targets that were measured this week at a Nike camp.
Trevon Duval-6'2, 188, 6'8 wingspan.
Nick Richards-6'11, 231, 7'3 wingspan.
Brandon Randolph-6'5, 168, 6'7 wingspan.
Matt Coleman-6'2, 180, 6'4 wingspan.
Alex O'Connell-6'5, 161, 6'4 wingspan. Should call him T-Rex instead of the slim reaper lol.
Simi Shittu-6'9, 213, 6'11 wingspan.
Hameir Wright-6'8, 194, 7'1 wingspan.
Ethan Thompson-6'5, 178, 6'5 wingspan.

Quade is not 6'1, not even with shoes on. Nike gave him close to 2 inches. He is about a shy under 6 foot. I give him 5'11 3/4 at best. Tre Duval is a lot taller and he's 6'2. Just look at the pictures of the two.
