Stanford fires Coach Taylor

With our coaches and our offense we have a chance with anyone.

Not sure we need to a flyer on kids that are unknown quantities as they may not even be as good as our own unknown incoming players at WR. Our WR room isn't too shabby right now but Mosley certainly looked the part, in an offense that could barely pass, once they gave him some run.

Yes we have at least one coach with Philly ties... Fran Brown. It's how we found Julian McFadden before the rest of the world. Not sure on Bredell or Stewart but Fran for sure got tipped off to Julian from Philly connections.
I would think our location and history with local recruits would carry its own water (Ismail, Harrison, Mungro, Darius, McCord, Nassib, Pugh, etc.) as well as Fran, a local and former Temple coach should make a connection, but in a pinch, our OC while from the Pittsburgh area, did play at Penn State, which may also help.

I know almost everybody here knows this, but I had no idea until Fran Brown was hired.

Camden NJ is much more a suburb of Philadelphia than New York.

Google maps has Camden a 16 minute drive from Philly, and 1 hour 40 from NY.
Bridges crossing the Delaware River from Philly land in Camden. Some might compare it to Fort Lee, or the Bronx in relationship to Manhattan. The USS New Jersey, docked in Camden was done so so it could be seen from Philly, where it was built. Haverford is on the main line NW of Philly (away from Camden) and a very well to do area, (like Don Bosco or Bergen Catholic to NYC) but between Temple, Rutgers, and even UGA, Fran, the guy from Camden is a known entity in the Philly recruiting radius.

Amazing how badly Frank Reich’s reputation has been tarnished that a one year stint at Stanford is a good deal. He was such a hot commodity after the 2017 Eagles season, I thought he was going to be a great NFL HC…hasn’t worked out.
