Stanford also has a 142 qb rating against BCS teams. Our's is 82

We get 157 passing ypg vs BCS, Stanford gets 177

So it's not just about feeding the ball to smith. They have a much better QB than we do

I'd love to have a top 10 defense. Easier said than done.

any game you make like 10 3rd down runs in a row you will do well.. they wore oregon down on simple plays. They dont look much better on offense than we do but they can make 3rd and 2 better it seems.

"Much better"? He is a tougher, bigger kid - and may have better weapons - but the numbers above are very similar? They have a much better defense (though I'd be curious to see what our numbers would be without the GT game).

Right but their personnel is WAY better. No way we could make any plays offensively against Oregon. Maybe some Jerome up the middle a little bit here and there but still. Stanford would kill us.
